1 GRADUATED ND FILTERS
Neutral density filters, also called ND filters, are like sunglasses for your lenses, as they block out light. Jeremy more commonly uses graduated ND filters, also called GNDs or ND grads, which have either a hard or soft graduation between dark filter at the top to totally clear at the bottom. Positioning the dark part over the top part of the image where the sky is helps retain highlight detail, and stops the sky and clouds from burning out to pure white, resulting in more balanced exposures.
