Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year can always be relied on to serve up a feast of colourful and captivating images, and the winners of this year’s contest have been announced, with Chinese photographer Zhonghua Yang taking the top prize for his wonderfully evocative image of dumplings being prepared for a spring festival feast.
This year’s competition featured 26 categories encompassing every aspect of food production, preparation, and consumption, from photos of farming and cooking to elaborate images of restaurant dishes and pictures of people around the world enjoying celebratory feasts.
Announcing the winners, Caroline Kenyon, the founder of the competition, said: “This wonderful, perfectly balanced image is full of light, shadow, mystery and poignancy.”
