Virtuoso pianist, composer and conductor Isaac Albéniz was one of the foremost composers of the Post-Romantic era. Transcriptions of many of his works, such as Asturias (Leyenda), Granada, Sevilla, Córdoba, Mallorca, and Tango in D, are important pieces for classical guitar, though he never composed for the instrument. His rarely-performed four-piece suite, The Seasons Op 201, was composed in 1892. Playing tips: There are many different playing styles to master in this tricky but effective piece.
