Looking back, I can hardly believe how easily I was duped by credit card scammers. But at the time, I had no reason to think anything was wrong. In September last year, my daughter Amelia, 5, started to say her neck hurt. Checking behind her left ear, I found a small, hard lump. ‘Ow!’ she yelped when I touched it. She began suffering from a high fever too, so I took her to the GP. Amelia was given antibiotics for an infection, but the painful lump was only getting bigger. It stretched from behind her left ear to her jaw.
