Consequently, the mouse had no home for the winter. For me, this statement is more reflective of plans for holiday sewing made with plenty of time to spare, only to wind up rushing at the last minute. This doesn’t leave me homeless, but I frequently have to adjust my original plans. Printed panels come in various sizes and proportions, so this pattern as it is may not work for every panel. But it can be adapted to use with any panel by using basic cutting techniques and simple arithmetic. First decide how many panel patches you’d like in your quilt and what size they will be. Cut the panel into strips of equal height, then sub cut the strips into patches of equal width. For best results, layer the strips before sub cutting to ensure the panel is cut at the same place on all strips. Getting Started About our Patterns We recommend that you read all of the instructions before starting a project and that you cut and sew one block before cutting all of your fabric. Use a bright, cheerful panel print to make a quick, cute throw quilt. The panel print from Timeless Treasures includes the large A center patch, four K corner squares, and the G and J multicolor strips. All the patches cut from the panel print must be fussy cut, centering the motifs. Fussy cut the G’s and J’s first, then carefully fussy cut the K’s, then the A.
