Richard Milton Clark and Clara Louisa Baldwin, my mother’s parents, were born in the late 1800s. They were married in 1900, and later that year their first child, Dorothy Frances Clark, was born. Their second daughter, Amy Irene, was born in 1905.
My mom, Dorothy, was always curious about her ancestors and in the 1970s discovered a small family cemetery where her Grandmother Baldwin’s parents were buried. That started her on a quest, and she soon had me involved as well.
She got the Clark family Bible from her mother, and we found more relatives listed on the B-M-D (birth, marriage, death) pages there.
We could trace her father’s line back to her grandfather and great-grandfather, but anyone prior to that remained a mystery for many years.
