“FOR THE past three years I’ve been director of sport at Canford School, Dorset, which I joined when I finished at Harlequins. I retired from playing in 2006 and had looked at education as a career but Dean Richards, the DoR at Quins, asked if I could work as assistant academy manager. I was there for the next 13 years, then moved into first-team coaching, mainly overseeing defence.
