My original plan for the S2 Lambretta was to get all the chassis items (cables, loom, brakes, tyres, suspension, etc) all upgraded, and then crack on with a full engine rebuild. As part of that, we opted to do a little ‘bang for buck’ interlude between the chassis being sorted and the engine rebuild commencing.
First, we changed the ignition from 6v point to 12v electronic and added a 25mm PHBL carb; those both gave us a small improvement in power. We then upgraded the standard factory clubman for an AF 42mm clubman, which also gave us a little boost.
