A rolled hem is a very small hem finish, suitable for lightweight to medium-weight fabrics, where the raw edge of the fabric is rolled under and stitched in place, creating a neat, durable, and often decorative edge.
Rolled hems are commonly used on garments like lingerie, blouses, skirts, scarves, and ruffles, as well as for home decor items such as window treatments, napkins, and tablecloths.
While rolled hems can be sewn by hand or with a sewing machine with a speciality presser foot, your overlocker can make sewing a rolled hem super easy.
