Dr. Tushar Ambadkar from Amravati, Maharashtra, India, is an Advanced Homeopathy Physician who loves wildlife photography as well. He has been a wildlife photographer since the last ten years. WPP Foundation Partners with Drik World Press Photo Foundation has announced partnership with Drik Picture Library, Bangladesh, to better connect with regions around the world. This partnership will allow World Press Photo Foundation to better connect to local networks and provide more regional visibility for local photojournalists and documentary photographers. Drik will provide local knowledge and contextualisation of the World Press Photo Contest to the local photography communities. The world around us is beautiful and we try to capture the beauty as we see it. We have subjects that are ‘still’ and we have subjects that are constantly in motion. Generally, but not always, we use the ‘video’ feature in our cameras to capture constant movement, while non-moving subjects are captured using the ‘still’ camera. However, while using the ‘still’ camera for moving subjects like waterfalls, streams, rivers, seas etc., the settings we use – primarily the shutter speed – determines how the moving subject will appear in our ‘still’ photographs. Unfortunately, there is no way to predetermine the final effect or ‘look’ that we’ll obtain using different shutter speeds.
