HARVEST BOWL Nothing says fall like the classic and colorful produce of the season. Here we simply mix an assortment of eggplant, pomegranates, small pumpkins, and artichokes. CYLINDER WRAPS Take glass cylinders to a new level by adorning them with assorted ribbons, twine, and leather cord. Finish by attaching pinecone flowers with hot glue, and fill with standard column candles. FALL BEAUTY Another fun twist for embellishing a large glass cylinder is to attach Indian corn in the husk around the sides, using hot glue. Complete by wrapping several strings of jute around the top. GORGEOUS GOURDS Take advantage of a seasonal delight, and use gourds for any tabletop, centerpiece, or tablescape. EASY APPLE-GINGER TART Makes 1 (9-inch) round tart 1/2(14.1-ounce) package refrigerated piecrust 1 1/2 large Braeburn apples, cored and thinly sliced 1 1/2 large Granny Smith apples, cored and thinly sliced 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon cornstarch 1 tablespoon sugar 2 tablespoons chopped crystallized ginger 1/3 cup orange marmalade 1 teaspoon orange zest Preheat oven to 450°. Unroll piecrust. Press into bottom and up sides of a 9-inch round removablebottom tart pan. In a large bowl, combine apple slices, cornstarch, and sugar, tossing gently to coat. BRUSCHETTA WITH CHORIZO, BUTTERNUT SQUASH, AND PESTO Makes 2 dozen bruschetta 24 (. -inch) diagonally cut baguette slices 2 tablespoons butter, melted 1 cup chopped peeled butternut squash . teaspoon salt 2 (3-ounce) links uncooked chorizo* ⅔ cup prepared basil pesto 1. cups shredded fontina or Havarti cheese Preheat oven to 350°. On a baking sheet, place baguette slices. Brush both sides of baguette slices with melted butter. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until crisp, turning once. In a medium skillet, place squash and salt. Add water to cover; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer for 7 minutes, or until tender. Drain; wipe skillet. Set squash aside. Remove, and discard casings from chorizo.
