In the Land of Estonia, people believed that the Sun was a great lamp that flew across the sky. It belonged to the Old Man in the Sky, who looked down on the Earth from the heavens.
The Old Man in the Sky had two servants, to whom he gave eternal Life. One was a girl, whose name was Dusk. The other was a boy, who was called Dawn.
The Old Man told Dusk, “When the Sun has finished its journey across the sky each evening, it is your job to put out its light and take it into my house!”
He then turned to Dawn, who was standing beside Dusk.
“And in the morning, my boy, you must take the Sun out and Light it, before it flies across…
