Think about buying a versatile table that has a fold-down flap or an extra section, if it’s just the two of you eating most of the time. Filled fruit boxes make lovely table centrepieces for a summer gathering. Pot up with strawberry plants for a pretty display that will also give your guests a tasty treat! Add a few small succulents for contrast. To make a similar display, start by wiping over the fruit box with a damp cloth, then line with plastic – a carrier bag cut to fit will do – then sprinkle in some gravel.
