The extra time in the oven has given this what looks to be some serious engineering flavour, like trimmer bezels, a homegrown hinge designed to retain laptop-like stiffness while maintaining the necessary horseshoe fold, a thin, balanced chassis and, yep, the biggest flexible OLED we’ve seen on a portable device. Nothing is anything but conventional and the same can be said of its first smartphone, the Phone 1. Its transparent rear design houses a series of notification lights and has a kind of techno-industrial vibe. This design language and those lights are the fun-factor and stand-out aspect of this smartphone debut.
