My first attempt at blending with green tea happened 30 years ago after I grew weary of hearing some customers say they didn’t like green tea. I took it as a challenge to create a green tea blend that anyone would like, even if they abused the tea with boiling water. I called my new blend “Serene Green.” My recipe consisted of green tea with peppermint, lemongrass, and orange peel—notes that would mask the ill effects of over-steeping or boiling water.
