Cat-loving knitters will be delighted with the new book from Marna Gilligan of An Caitín Beag fame. Cat Knits features Marna’s quirky cat designs recreated in yarn, with 16 patterns for sweaters, cardigans, shawls, hats and cowls. The book is published later in March by David & Charles, and costs £16.99.
Styles include a chunky-weight cardigan and a hat with cat motifs worked in textured stitches. There’s a chapter of delicate 4ply designs, such as a lace-yoked cardigan with tiny colourwork cat patterns, an airy shawl, and lacy mitts.
