PRIDE OF WALES The Wonderwool Wales show is back on for 2022 after cancellations due to the pandemic, and the organisers have put together a brilliant line-up of exhibitors and events for visitors to enjoy. The festival is being held at the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells on 23-24 April, and this year all tickets must be purchased through the online booking system. The show is a celebration of Welsh wool, and visitors will be able to meet and shop with Welsh artisan brands and rare-breed flocks such as Garthenor, Nellie and Eve, Cartref Yarn, Beilidu Manx Mountain Sheep, Pure Welsh, Tyddyn Bryn, and the Pen-y-Lan Flock. PATTERN NOTES This design is worked flat and in separate pieces. The front and back are worked from the bottom up, and then seamed together at the shoulders using the three-needle cast-off method. The neckband is then picked up and worked in the round. The sleeves are also worked flat and from the bottom up. Once the sleeves are finished, they are then grafted to the body. Her passion inspired her to set up her own business, Gathered Sheep Yarns, and today her North Essex-based dye studio produces a range of sophisticated colourways dyed on wool bases.
