Scientists have developed a new tool that delivers genes to malfunctioning brain and spinal cells to treat neurodegenerative diseases like ALS and Parkinson’s, reports The Washington Post. Over 300 researchers working with the National Institutes of Health’s BRAIN initiative created a system that maps how neural cells work together and how diseases interrupt their pathways.
