Conventional wisdom—backed by countless teen comedies—holds that sexual desire is strongest in youth. A large new study suggests that may be true for women but not for men, reports The Times (U.K.). Drawing on data from more than 67,000 adults ages 20 to 84 in the Estonian Biobank, researchers found that men’s self-reported libido rose through early adulthood and peaked in their early 40s, before declining slowly and steadily thereafter.
