English socialite Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, god-daughter of Prince Charles, died in London on Feb. 8 at age 45. She had been battling a brain tumour. In a statement, the Prince of Wales and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, said they were“deeply saddened”by her death. Palmer-Tomkinson, whose father, Charles, was a landowner and British Olympic skier, became notorious for her partying in the 1990s, which was detailed in a weekly column ghostwritten for the Sunday Times.
