There’s no doubt that much of the news right now is downright scary. From the escalating war in Europe to the flood crisis affecting a huge swathe of Australia’s eastern seaboard, it’s not hard to feel a bit stressed about what’s going on. In a bid to manage my own nagging anxiety, I’m attempting to direct at least some of my attention to the good in the world rather than the doom. Our flood report, on page 6, focuses on the heroic efforts of our SES volunteers and emergency services who are dealing with the crisis as it continues to unfold.
