Almost five decades after the brutal double murder of Susan Bartlett and Suzanne Armstrong, police have arrested a 65-year-old man. Authorities are now seeking to extradite Perry Kouroumblis to Australia. The “two Sues” were found dead inside their home on Easey Sreet, Collingwood, Melbourne on January 13, 1977. Susan, 27, had been stabbed 55 times while Suzanne, 28, had been stabbed 29 times. Police said Suzanne had also been sexually assaulted and it is believed Susan was attacked after she heard the disturbance and went to the aid of her friend and housemate. Beetroot and Ricotta Pasta SERVES 4 INGREDIENTS 300g dried farfalle 30g parmesan cheese 1 lemon ½ bunch basil (15g) 1 x 280g vac-packed beetroot Olive oil 100g ricotta cheese 30g shelled unsalted walnut halves Extra virgin olive oil METHOD 1 Cook the pasta according to the packet instructions. 2 Finely grate the parmesan, then the lemon zest into a blender, and squeeze in half the juice. Tear in the basil leaves, add the beetroot, 1 tsp black pepper and 3 tblsps of olive oil and blitz until super-smooth. 3 Drain the pasta, reserving a mugful of starchy cooking water, then return it to the pan.
