George, the eight-year-old senior pest controller at Stourbridge Junction in the West Midlands, has been in his role ever since he turned up at the station one day in 2018. It can be traced to the Carpathian region covering parts of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, and Ukraine. It occurs naturally in domestic cats and the pattern can appear in any colour or pattern of cat, but appears best on dark, solid colours. Her cats Willow and Fifi are the Brand Ambassadors for Natures Menu and Natures Variety cat food. Hector’s House Cat Rescue, a not-for-profit registered charity based in Torquay, Devon, was set up by Zara Oldfield in August 2020, with the intention of focusing on unneutered male stray cats. Since it opened its doors, the rescue has taken in 893 cats and kittens, and rehomed 784.
