Kornmesser Just as we were going to print, the European Southern Observatory made an announcement that sent shock waves through the scientific community – and let’s be honest, the All About Space office, too. A planet, 1.3 times the mass of Earth, has been found around our nearest star. What’s more, the world, known as Proxima Centauri b, is in the habitable zone of its red dwarf, meaning that it could quite possibly hold liquid water on its rocky surface.
