COLLECTORS OF sporting, wildlife, and Western art will not want to miss the Scottsdale Art Auction, which takes place in two sessions, April 14-15, in Scottsdale, Ariz.
One of the largest auctions of its type in the Southwest, this year’s event will feature more than 400 works of art including paintings and sculptures by some of the most important artists working in the genre. The auction was founded in 2005 and takes place in Scottsdale’s vibrant arts district each year.
Among the artists represented in this year’s selection are famed Western painters Thomas Moran, John Clymer, Joseph H. Sharp, Olaf Wieghorst, Frederic Remington, and Howard Terpning. Works by contemporary Western artists Martin Grelle, Ed Mell, Jerry Jordan, John Coleman, and Logan Hagege, among others, will also be available.
