Sally Roesler’s obsession with the treasures of faraway places began in the fifth grade when her history teacher explained how the Dutch purchased what is now Manhattan Island from the Native Americans, in part, with a box of beads. Now owner of The Bead Goes On (www.thebeadgoeson.com), a wholesale business, and Beadniks (www.beadniks.com), a retail store in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Sally supplies her customers with hand-selected rare beads, jewelry supplies, and tribal arts from countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan, and Malaysia.
