I just can’t hide my feelings away any longer. I’ve had a lifelong love that tantalises and frustrates me, but then takes me to heaven and back. It's elusive to capture, fights tooth and nail, yet is soft and delicious to taste. Some call them gumbos, great grey submarines, men in grey suits and, others, sweet William but, to me, they’re just plain old gummies – one of the most satisfying, yet frustrating, target species of the saltwater kingdom.
I find it quite amazing that much of the country turns their noses up at eating shark, especially such delectable morsels as gummy and school shark which are both marketed as flake.
