Elder stateswoman of the British track world championship team, Katie Archibald led a promising up-and-coming squad of youngsters as the team claimed two rainbow jerseys and six medals.
Archibald, the most seasoned rider of the squad who travelled to the world championships in Roubaix, won her second omnium world championship in signature imperious style, winning all four races. She also racked up bronze in the team pursuit, bronze in the Madison alongside Neah Evans and silver in the points race.
