Magicshine’s Rouleur Colour photochromic glasses bring transition lenses within reach of the masses. For years, I dreamed of riding with photochromic lenses in winter to enhance my vision as I rode from beneath dark clouds to bright open skies and back again.
The issue was always cost. Up until now, photochromic lenses have been seriously expensive. For example, a set of new lenses for my Oakley Jawbreakers cost around £100, which seems a lot for a sliver of coated polycarbonate.
The Rouleurs are just £59.99, including the frame, lenses, case, and carry bag. Performance is excellent: they transition from Cat 1 to 3 quickly, are pin-sharp, comfortable, secure and weigh a few grams less than my Oakleys. Stylistically, the large, wraparound lenses look on point, too.
