THIS BLACK PATINA’D ’55 FORD F-100 looks innocent enough. I mean, it has a smiling supercharged snail slapped on the door, for Pete’s sake. But under the hood, it’s anything but innocent—or sluggish, for that matter. Owned by Gumby Sanders of Sour Lake, Texas, the truck was built to be a fun cruiser while promoting his shop, Texas Speed Lab Performance, he says. Well, Chris Dicus and his custom fab shop are no strangers to this, as seen here by his latest creation. BACK IN 2008, COOPER Hayre was looking through Craigslist ads in search for a truck to become his next project vehicle. He soon found a listing that sparked his interest. There was a ’75 F-100 listed for $1,000 that was about an hour away from his home, so he and his wife Lisa headed to go check it out. When they arrived, it wasn’t what they expected.
