This issue promised 20 pages of Groovy Street Machines, and it certainly delivered. From the green-with-gold-pearl painted Cougar on the cover, the street machine lineup comprised of the Cougar, a 1984 Hurst/Olds with a Cadillac Northstar engine swap, Ford’s marvelous 2000 Mustang Cobra R, a 1987 Firebird with a 455 under the hood, a 1964 Dodge 330, and a big-block 1966 Chevelle. In between was a smattering of tech articles including a disc brake conversion on a Mopar C-Body, GM TPI engine tuning, and a low-buck engine rebuild kit buyers guide.
