A restaurant dedicated to the humble potato chip has recently launched in Soho, London. Hipchips offers a wide variety of crisps including the choice of potato variety, such as, Highland Burgundy, Red Emmalie, Salad Blue and Shetland Black. Chef, Scott Davies, reported, “We are using the best ingredients to make a high-end product. We wanted to give people something a bit different - I don’t think there is anyone doing something like this in the country, or even the world.” Accompanying the crisps is a selection of savoury dips including, katsu curry, smoky cheese fondue, baba ghanoush, as well as, beetroot and lemongrass marmalade.
