When I started quilting, I hadn’t a clue about fussy cutting. In fact, I started fussy cutting fabric without realising that was actually what I was doing. It was only when I started trying my hand at English Paper Piecing, or EPP, that I fully understood what I could do with a cut of fabric. That knowledge single-handedly changed how I view fabric in general. Fussy cuts don’t necessarily have to involve novelty prints. While those provide the most obvious possibilities, sometimes the best fussy cuts come from those prints you’d least expect. Symmetrical and lined prints are often my favourite to fussy cut, and the results are usually kaleidoscopic in nature. So this month, I’m curating a bundle for a fun, fussy cut project.
