Aneela Hoey’s love for fabric design came from an adjacent passion: art lessons at school.
“I always kept myself surrounded with paper, paint, colouring pens, scissors, glue and anything else I could find a way to use,” she shares, revealing a love for making things from an early age.
Her pivot to fabric came about when visiting the Winchester School of Art for an open day with a friend, deliberating about which discipline to specialise in for a degree course. “As soon as I walked into the textiles department at Winchester, I knew I had found what I was looking for.” She embarked on a degree in Printed Textiles, kicking off a career in designing.
