PIXELMATOR 3.1 Marble is the newest iteration of an image editor that’s often regarded as the hobbyist’s alternative to Adobe Photoshop. Following on the heels of Pixelmator 3.0 FX, this refresh was timed to coincide with Apple’s release of the new Mac Pro.
This full-service image editor has an extensive, Photoshop-like toolbar that offers traditional controls for editing, compositing, and enhancing images, as well as for drawing and painting. The program also supplies a wide range of special effects.
Layer styles, liquify tools, and a revised editing engine highlighted the features introduced in 3.0 FX, which was tailored to Apple’s Mavericks operating system.
