Findings from the University of Johannesburg (UJ) and Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) Covid-19 democracy survey show that nearly two-thirds (61%) of the public support postponing the 2021 local government elections. A blast on a bus killed 13 people in north Pakistan yesterday, including nine Chinese nationals in what Beijing said was a bomb attack but Islamabad called a vehicle failure. Singapore: An ocean liner on a “cruise to nowhere” was forced to make an earlier-than-scheduled return to Singapore yesterday after a Covid-19 case was detected on board, authorities said. The Dream Cruises ship’s 1 646 passengers and 1 249 crew members had been asked to remain in their cabins as the vessel is disinfected and contact tracing completed, the Singapore Tourism Board’s director for cruises said. THE International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) said it is investigating two matches from this month's Wimbledon Grand Slam after bookmakers flagged "possible irregular betting patterns". "Two alerts (were) provided to us during the Championships from the betting industry indicating possible irregular betting patterns," an ITIA spokesperson told Reuters. "We are not able to comment on the detail of these while they are being looked into."
