ABOUT HELMETS Helmets are a type of armour you can wear on your head to protect yourself. A standard helmet can be made of leather (a cap), iron, chainmail, gold, diamonds, or netherite. A turtle shell can also be crafted out of scutes and worn as a helmet. Helmets can be crafted, but they also spawn as wearable items on zombies, husk s, strays and skeletons. The standard drop rate for armour on mobs is 8.5% – so if you kill 12 mobs wearing helmet s, you’d expect to collect just one.
