England’s football players negotiated in secret to secure a £3m bonus for reaching the semi-finals of the 2018 Fifa World Cup, says The Sun on Sunday. The deal was struck between a group of players including Harry Kane, who earns £200,000 a week in his day job at Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester City’s Kyle Walker, who is on £150,000 a week. Not all the squad’s players were aware of the negotiations, however, and the payment took some of them by surprise, says The Sun.
