It is no surprise we live in Paradise. Naples has received so many rounds of public applause for being among the best places to live that I have lost count. Yes, one of the obvious reasons is our beautiful beaches, but there is much more to Naples’ charm than a stunning coastline. When PGA Hall of Fame golfer Nancy Lopez first met Diana Riley at lunch during the CME Group Tour Championship at TwinEagles in 2012, Lopez recalls being impressed by the Naples resident’s passion. Riley founded Swinging With Purpose, a nonprofit that works with area golf clubs to raise dollars for local charities. In 2013, the golf legend, who found Riley’s powers of persuasion irresistible, got involved in Swinging With Purpose’s first fundraiser, benefiting The Shelter for Abused Women & Children. When Utah’s Park City and Canyons merged last year, the nation’s largest ski resort was born. That was big news for skiers, who were blown away by the resultant infrastructure offering access to 7,300 skiable acres with 300 trails across a 22-mile network connected by a whopping 41 lifts.
