Gabrielle Garcia shared everything with her twin sister, Kayla.
For the first 14 years of their lives, the identical siblings did literally everything together. They once even shared the same body!
This was because, in 1998, Gabby and Kayla were born as conjoined twins. Fused at the hip, the sisters shared two legs, a bladder, intestinal tract, liver and kidney.
They lived as one body for eight months until the girls were medically separated during a successful, pioneering, 12-hour surgery.
“We were conjoined at the pelvic bone and so we kind of took being connected at the hip literally,” Gabby exclusively tells New Idea, with a smile.
