May brought the hugely welcome return of the Brighton Festival, and now the Brighton Fringe Festival and Artists’ Open Houses are picking up the baton for June.
The Fringe celebrates all things weird and wonderful, through an entertaining mix of cabaret, circus, theatre, literature, music and workshops (1), while visitors to the Artists’ Open Houses have the chance to buy paintings, sculptures, prints, photography, jewellery, textiles and ceramics directly from the artists over three weekends from 29 May.
