The landscape is vast, our hero threatened with insignificance by comparison, and yet the scene remains firmly focused on the power of Luke’s potent yearning: for the frontier, for the opportunity to become more than a subsistence moisture farmer like his uncle, for the vastness of space beyond those setting suns.
