Congratulations to The Nation’s editorial director and publisher, Katrina vanden Heuvel, the recipient of the Second Annual Marcus Raskin Award for Civic and Intellectual Courage. The award recognizes “an outstanding and brave leader in the fields Marc was passionate about, including peace, social reconstruction, art, and politics.” Raskin was a valued member of The Nation’s editorial board, and his son, Jamie Raskin, the US representative from Maryland’s Eighth District, is a longtime contributor.
