Juan Carlos Albarrán Montealegre, Ana Fernández Pecci and Ramón González Colilla call themselves “reckless and risk-takers” when they look back and remember their beginnings at the head of the Talavera Ceramic Center. In the chosen name they felt, perhaps, the weight of responsibility of five centuries of renowned ceramic tradition, but they were not daunted: ceramics might have a long past, but they were convinced that it also had a great future. They set out to find it and, in a way, they created it through their own, different pieces, and others that would come thanks to collaborations with powerful artists from different disciplines such as Aitor Saraiba, Guille García-Hoz, Abe The Ape, Rubenimichi, Ana Locking, Bakea, Lucreativo, Dani Buch or Juan Diaz-Faes.
