I’m indebted to 220 reader Richard Thomas who has noticed that in more than 10 years of writing this column, there’s one tri topic I seem to have studiously avoided – duathlons. And it’s true. I’ve written about triathlons, aquathlons, Swimruns, Parkruns, marathons, cross country, track races, road races, Brompton races, time trials, cyclocross, canicross, swimming galas, open-water swims, sea swims and cold-water swims. But no duathlons.
