Where is the transit visible from?
Getting a good glimpse of the event will depend on your location here on Earth Unfortunately for those living in Australia, Japan and Indonesia, the transit will not be visible as it will already be night by the time the event begins. Moving westwards, observers in China, India, The Middle East, most of Africa and Eastern Europe will be able to watch the majority of the transit, but the Sun will set before Mercury leaves the Sun’s disc.
