PARAMORE PARAMORE It's hard to believe that while the group Paramore is releasing its fourth studio album, its lead singer is just 24 years old. It's even harderto believe that Hayley Williams was just 17 years old at the time of the band's first album and only 15 when the band was first forming. Even more surprising is that the band's drummer was only 13. Most likely because of the ages of some of its founding members, Paramore has gone through a number of personnel changes in just this short time. Samsung has extended its lead over Apple as the biggest smartphone manufacturer in the first three months of this year, and Google's Android operating system has increased its dominance with a 75 percent global market share. Those are the two key findings from research firm Gartner's quarterly survey of the mobile market, which showed smartphone sales leapt 43 percent on a year ago to 210 million units. FIONNA FIGHTS This week I came acrossa small arcade game inspired by the hit Cartoon Network series, Adventure Time. This title explores the alternate universe of Fionna and Cake (the female versions of the show's original main characters, Finn and Jake). The game has a very arcade-ish feeling to it, and at $0.99 cents, it seems like a good deal, especially to the Adventure Time fan. But is it enough to keep you occupied for more than a few hours? The company that operates electronics production facilities in China, has been been the source of a series of negative reports in recent years from industrial accidents to worker suicides to public complaints about working conditions, The New York Times reported Tuesday.
