“Always mix it up,” says Leonora Hamill, describing her design motto. “I like to create inviting, layered interiors brimming with a mix of antiques, pattern, color, vintage and ethnic textiles, unusual furniture, and objects that belong to different periods and places but coexist in harmony.” Her devoted clients—ranging from filmmaker Ginevra Elkann, and a boutique hotel attached to Le Doyenné restaurant in Saint Vrain, France, to a stylish young Brooklyn couple (AD, October 2025)—count on Hamill, with her background as an art historian and a fine-art photographer, to render their spaces with a certain well-traveled, read-and-heeled appeal. It tracks, then, that many of her projects are for likeminded friends, including one of her first residential commissions, Grace Fuller Marroquin’s family town house in Manhattan’s West Village (AD, February 2021).…
