P+Z Engineering and Tesco T.S. were founded in Munich and Turin in 1967 and 1968 respectively. In 2000, the design, engineering and prototyping operations of the two companies were merged into the PCL Group. Over the following years, five new P+Z sites were opened in Germany (Stuttgart, Cologne, Bremen, Ingolstadt and Hamburg), while Forma. T, the styling division of Tesco headed by the French designer Marc Deschamps was founded in Turin in 2001
In 2003 the Parisian Artware Design also joined the PCL Group, while the relationship with the Shanghai-based Launch Design began in 2006. In the meantime, in 2005, the ARRK group became the majority shareholder of PCL Group, making PCL a part of a worldwide network specialised in four operating fields: engineering design, prototyping, tooling and die making/production.…
