Bentley has a new head B of exterior design, David Hilton. He succeeds Raul Pires, who moved to Italdesign Giugiaro, still within the Volkswagen group, at the end of last year. Like Pires, he will answer directly to the head of Bentley design, Dirk van Braeckel. An American and a graduate of the CCS of Detroit, Hilton has more than twenty years experience in car design. He began his career in the Ford advanced design studio and he returned to Ford after a spell in Brazil at VW Autolatina. He worked for the blue oval in Detroit and Germany and, following a brief period with Mazda, he became chief designer for Ford Racing.
